Facelift
Description of the procedure and the resulting effect
This method of rejuvenation offers several ways that the surgeon chooses or combines exactly as it will best benefit your face. In general, a facelift consists in tightening the skin, removing its excess in the face, and in surgical treatment of the superficial musculoskeletal system (SMAS) of the face. Usually the surgeon makes an incision from the temple area around the earlobe behind the outer ear. He/she removes excess skin and finally closes the small wounds with absorbable sutures and applies a sterile dressing along with an elastic sterile bandage.
Do not worry about visible scars. The resulting scar is thin, very inconspicuous, and difficult to notice. In the face area, the wounds generally heal better than on the body, because the face is more perfused.
