Gynecomastia Gynecomastia

Description of the procedure and the resulting effect

Do the feminine-looking breasts that are visible under each upper part of your clothes disturb you? The cause of your aesthetic problem does not necessarily have to be unwanted fat, but also hypertrophy of breast tissue caused by hormonal changes. The so-called Gynecomastia can also appear in one breast only. That is why the breasts are more conspicuous – one of them is bigger at first glance and different in shape.  However, we can solve the asymmetry of men’s breasts, their undesirable size and shape. Gynecomastia mainly affects young men around the age of 20–25 years.

Before the operation itself, of course, a consultation with the doctor is needed, and in the case of breast surgery, also the ultrasound examination.

Surgical removal of gynecomastia is often combined with breast liposuction. The effect of the procedure is then even more perfect and more obvious at first glance. In the case of a combined surgery, the procedure is performed under general anaesthesia, and is followed by the already mentioned one-day hospitalization at the clinic.

Convalescence

After surgery, a 7-10-day rest period at home is required. Keep the elastic bandage and elastic underwear for 4-5 days after the operation, then you can take a shower and wear the elastic underwear for at least 4 weeks. Expect to return to a normal life in about 4-6 weeks. Sutures are absorbable and do not need to be removed.
