Description of the procedure and the resulting effect
Labiaplasty adjusts the size and shape of inner labia, whether they have been extended due to weakening after childbirth or given genetically. The reason for the operation may not be “only” the aesthetic aspect, but also problems with hygiene or in sexual life.
During the operation, the patient is in a similar position as at the gynaecologist’s check-up so that the area of the inner labia is sufficiently accessible to the surgeon. Intimate parts of the body are especially important for a woman’s natural self-confidence. Their aesthetic appearance affects her psyche and thus various areas of her life. Labiaplasty gives a woman a new impulse that can improve not only her intimate life, but also her relationship with herself.
The effect of labiaplasty will stay forever. It is recommended to perform the procedure ideally after the last birth, so that there is no unwanted change in the shape of the inner labia again. The sensitivity of intimate parts during sexual intercourse does not decrease after the procedure.
Convalescence
Procedures in the intimate areas require increased hygiene and also sexual abstinence during the convalescence period. Both for at least 3 weeks. Rinse the treated area every time after using the toilet and whenever you feel like. This minimizes the risk of possible infection.
Frequently Asked Questions About Labiaplasty
How long after the surgery can I start working?
Pain, swelling, and discomfort occur during the recovery period, but the patient can usually return to work within two or three days.
When can I start having sex?
Will I have scars?
Yes, but they will usually not be noticeable and will recede over time. Your plastic surgeon will make every effort to keep the incisions as small as possible, to be hidden in the natural lines and folds of the skin.
Can I undergo labiaplasty at the same time as another procedure?
Yes, you can have it in parallel with another procedure if you are under general anaesthesia.
