Abdominoplasty Surgery (Tummy Tuck)
Description of the procedure and the resulting effect
In abdominoplasty, one long, horizontal incision is made in the lower abdomen. The second, small incision is around the navel. The skin and subcutaneous tissue are separated from the muscles. Excess skin is removed, and a new hole is created for the navel. The scar remains in the lower abdomen to be easily covered with underwear. According to the surgeon, it is sometimes necessary to combine abdominoplasty with muscle repair or liposuction or both.
It is recommended to consult a doctor about the appropriateness of this surgery, as the procedure is not suitable for everyone and does not address classic obesity.
