Description of the procedure and the resulting effect
Neck lift can be performed in combination with face lift and can be performed in several ways. Only a plastic surgeon can best assess which procedure will be ideal for you. After sending photos and a description of your problem, we will contact the clinics that, in our experience, best meets the criteria for the selected procedure. We will contact you again as soon as possible with the proposed procedure and price.
Convalescence
You will wear a special elastic halter two weeks after the procedure. Wear it thoroughly because it plays an important role in postoperative recovery. There is perhaps no surgery without bruises and swelling. They are the body’s natural reaction, so accept them. After a neck lift, bruises and swelling will be absorbed in about two weeks. Most of the time, they remain hidden under the elastic halter anyway.
Frequently Asked Questions About Neck lift
What can I expect during recovery from a neck lift surgery?
After the procedure, bruising and swelling will occur. A recovery time of up to 5–10 days is required before returning to usual daily activities.
Will I have scars after neck lift surgery?
Yes, as with any surgery, you will have scars, even if they gradually disappear within a few weeks. The scars will be minimal and well hidden under the chin and ears, where they are usually behind the hairline.
How long will the bruises and swellings last?
Your surgeon will do everything to minimize swelling and bruising that occurs after surgery. Generally, the swelling begins to subside at the end of the first week after surgery. The bruises depend on the patient and usually last for about 10 days. It can take 2–3 weeks for bruises and swellings to disappear completely.
How long do I have to sleep with my head up?
You should sleep with your head raised for at least 1 week to minimize swelling.
When will I be able to take a shower?
You will be able to take a shower 48 hours after the surgery, but you must ensure that your incisions remain as dry as possible.
