Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) with Liposuction
Description of the procedure and the resulting effect
The incision is made based on various factors, which are evaluated at the preoperative consultation. Usually one long, horizontal incision is made in the lower abdomen. The second, small incision is around the navel. The skin and subcutaneous tissue are separated from the muscles and the abdominal wall is toned, if necessary, by suturing the abdominal muscles. Excess skin is removed, and a new hole is created for the navel. The scar remains in the lower abdomen to be easily covered with underwear. Finally, the wound is closed with absorbable sutures. According to the surgeon, it is sometimes necessary to combine abdominoplasty with muscle repair and liposuction.
It is recommended to consult a doctor about the appropriateness of this surgery, as the procedure is not suitable for everyone and does not address classic obesity.
