Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery – Blepharoplasty
Description of the procedure and the resulting effect
With a thin incision made in the natural fold of the operated eyelid, the surgeon removes excess skin. If necessary, fat eye bags as well. At the end of the operation, the doctor covers the wounds with a thin patch and a sterile cover. The procedure lasts about an hour and is usually performed under local anaesthesia. Due to the incision made in the skin fold of the upper eyelid and in the wrinkle under the eye, blepharoplasty scars remain almost invisible.
