Head and Neck

Endoscopic Forehead Lift – Endotine®

Description of the procedure and the resulting effect

It is the extraction of sagging skin in the forehead and eyebrows area. Surgeon makes short incisions in the hair area. With these incisions, the doctor inserts a camera and surgical instruments under the skin so that he/she can perform the surgery as gently and accurately as possible. The doctor also places the loose forehead skin on absorbable subcutaneous implants. They keep the lifted skin exactly as desired. When their task is over, they are absorbed after 6 to 12 months.

During the procedure, the subcutaneous structures are tightened, the muscles are corrected and the skin in the forehead is stretched. Finally, the doctor closes the wounds, provides them with a sterile cover and an elastic headband.

Description of the procedure and the resulting effect

Endotine® is a system developed in the USA that uses absorbable super-soft implants placed under the skin. Here, the implants subsequently hold the soft tissues in the desired lifted position. After the procedure, new fibrous structures begin to form in the subcutaneous tissue, which fix the tissue in place and keep it there even after the implant is completely dissolved.

All implants are inserted using small incisions and are able to replace the traditional browlift, forehead lift and partly also facelift. The patented implant design guarantees safe tissue fixation in the new position, plus it allows the tissue to simply reposition itself at any time for attaining optimal positions and corrections.

The implants are inserted under the skin by means of two small incisions (one on each side), attached to the bone and the extracted tissue is placed on them. After the procedure, the tissue is fixed in a new position with a ligament and the implants get completely absorbed over time. Natural rejuvenation lasts more than 2 years.

Convalescence

Immediately after the procedure, the patient may experience mild pressure and tension in the skin. Bruises and swelling are also common, but they disappear in a few days. A bandage of the area is required for two weeks.
